Vakantiehuiskopen was a portal where people could buy vacation homes that were for sale in, mostly, The Netherlands. The technical part of this website was very interesting since there were a lot of features to be made and it could end up in really a huge website. So first thing was sitting down with the client to hear what he had in mind to come to some kind of functional design. Although the website never saw daylight because of several reasons, design wasn’t one of them, it was an important project for me.

Because I started to create, and in the end, love wireframes. It was for me the first time doing that for such a big website with a lot of functions and from time to time it was a little bit of a struggle. But when finished them it was very nice to have them and to fall back on them when we started to design the UI. It was really nice to see how everything could be related back to the wireframes and that taught me that it is important to start and invest a good amount of time in wireframes since in the end you only win time by using it.
